Coming Together for the Holidays

With Molina Healthcare’s support, IPL will host three special holiday-themed Gather & Grow events during times of year that can be particularly stressful or lonely for many, especially seniors and young families.

• Saturday, Oct. 25th, 2-4 pm. Hallo-Read – A fun, family-friendly celebration combining reading and Halloween cheer.

• Saturday, Nov. 29th, 2-4 pm. Thank a Book – A gratitude-themed event highlighting stories, togetherness, and community.

• Saturday, Dec 27th, 2-4 pm. Holiday Booked – A festive gathering filled with games, food, storytimes, and merriment.

Each of these programs is designed to help community members connect, share joy, and feel supported during the busy holiday season.

Building a Stronger, More Connected Community

Interlochen Public Library believes that meaningful human connection is vital to well-being—especially in rural areas where access to resources can be limited. With the help of Molina Healthcare and MLA, IPL continues to be a welcoming hub for all ages, fostering friendships, creativity, and lifelong learning.

This is perfect for families, schools, and libraries looking to make reading a thrilling adventure.

Thank a Book. Saturday, Nov. 29th, 2-4 pm.

A gratitude-inspired event that celebrates the power of stories to bring people together. Participants share favorite books, write thank-you notes to authors, and reflect on how reading enriches community and connection. Ideal for the season of thankfulness and appreciation.

Holiday Booked. Saturday, Dec. 27th, 2-4 pm.

A festive gathering that combines the warmth of the holidays with the magic of storytelling. Featuring games, delicious treats, cozy reading corners, and cheerful storytimes, this event invites families and friends to celebrate togetherness through books and holiday spirit.
